Pedestal Footwear | Be Where Your Feet Are…
Posted on August 27th, 2020 to Barefoot Training
As humans we do a lot of worrying. Worrying about tomorrow or dwelling on the past. Trying to control the uncontrollable is a huge energy suck and can lead to greater anxiety and depression. Sayings like “I can’t wait until”, “if only”, or “remember when” can destroy your mental health.
As creatures of habit, we tend to get into a routine and at some point that becomes monotonous. In turn, we look to the past or the potential future for stimulation. Being where your feet are, is a great lesson in trying to be present in your immediate surrounding. It is definitely a hard thing to practice and something I am personally trying to get better and better at.
So how do you practice being mindful? Try counting how many times a day you either think about the future or mull over the past. You will be amazed at just how much your brain time travels in a day. When you actually become aware of your mind drifting elsewhere, you can bring it back to the present and “Be Where Your Feet Are.”
Aim to be present in the moment and enjoy what is happening around you. Be where your feet are…
